We all went to Sunday School as good little children do. But that year we were children watching the world change. We were children watching our world change.
Change would have been more romantic if father wasn’t the one teaching. Boys are embarrassed by their fathers, of course.
Father asked what we wanted to become. Andrea wanted to be a homemaker. I snickered, mumbling loud enough to be asked why. “Don’t you want to do something more with your life!” I said. She didn’t reply and neither did I really care, I imagined being weightless up amongst the stars.
Boys say mean things to girls they like, of course.
