Letter Of Correspondence

When we no longer wish to know
Let’s not tell each other.
Draw it out.
Over years.
Eventually with wrinkles.
And gray hairs.

When we no longer wish to know
Let it be on any kind of day.
An average week.
A passing minute.
Simpler without pretenses.
Easier to forget it.

When we no longer care at all
Let us be as dust upon the wind.
Just two waves in a raging sea.
Promise to be relieved.

I’ll be.
