I can be no more open-minded
Than the disagreement I offer.
If truth is to be uncertainty
Then uncertainty is truth –
Reducing both to nothing more
Than the dreams of those
Peacefully slumbering.
Absolutes are.
They draw some near
But many others away;
Bitterness is a season we all
Will endure – let not, then,
Our impudence find any
Appeal or audience.
I can be no more wisdom
Than of words of disagreement,
And so my gait now must differ –
Do you not know? I have been
The divisive one before – it is
No more than an end unto itself.
Quite the philosophical musings, indeed.
