That Which Shames Us

Don’t look back
At the things previously had.
Or that which waxed then waned.

Don’t extricate
What doesn’t need to be remembered.
Or what shouldn’t be remembered.

Find a solace
In how what is gone became an eerie haze.
At how ghosts themselves dare not tread.

Walk on, go afar
And the soul will burn anew.
Aflame in the manner of its singularity.
