Silent guns rust
In scrap yards,
Some polished bright
In museums.
Silent guns once
Unnaturally thundered
Like Zeus in his
Fearsome rage.
Silent guns continue on
In motion pictures
Black and white,
In black and white
The dead never age
And neither do they forget.
Their ghosts evidenced in
Flags rippling by
Graveyard headstones,
Mistaken for the wind.
