Understanding Is Found In The Beginnings

We’ll say
and we’ll
promise to

Miss each
other for
at least
a summer’s
length, but

You and I
both know
time and
tear apart

More than
they seam
so rather

Than speak
through our
feigned smiles
and feelings
why don’t

You and I
admit this
is the end
of the road,
for we both

Know time and
distance tear
apart more
than they
seam together.
